The Alfriston Festival takes place every year, during the week leading up to the August Bank Holiday Weekend. It culminates in a grand fair on the Tye on Bank Holiday Monday, which people from miles around come to attend.
During the week, many events take place around the village, such as the festival supper, barn dance, evening of entertainment, and many others.
Over the Saturday and Sunday, events take place mainly on the Tye. These include a dog show, vintage car show, river meadow race, and a traditional welly throwing competition!
All money that is made by the festival is split between several local and national charities.
