We are a small charity run rural Pre-School set in the beautiful village of Alfriston.

Our Ethos

We believe that children need to learn through play and exploration without being pushed at a young age into formal learning.

​

We provide quality childcare for both the local village children as well as children from further afield who are attracted to our setting and our ethos. Our children benefit from being outside in the fresh air as much as possible and this is achieved through our free flow system where by children can access the outside as they please.

We are fortunate to have our own Nature site on the grounds of Alfriston Court residential home allowing us to offer sessions 5 days a week 9 - 3 during term time.  At our Nature site children are free to explore the natural surroundings, manage risk and play with no distractions. We offer our forest sessions to all local children regardless of whether they attend the pre school and we also offer holiday clubs for older children too.

The Pre-School plays an important part in the village and the majority of our children go on to attend the village primary school.

 

We love to get out and about with the children within the village with regular trips to the village stores to buy our fruit and veg for snack time and cooking activities.
